Rule 24
Arrangements for inspecting cargo at the respective location
(1) Pursuant to Section 31 of the Act, an exporter shall submit an application to the customs officer for inspection of the goods to be exported at the place of production or warehouse of such goods, or for an inspection of the goods imported by an importer outside the customs area, by attaching the documents mentioned in Rule 21.
(2) According to the application given in accordance with sub-rule (1), when the goods to be exported are inspected at the place of production or warehouse of such goods or when the imported goods are inspected outside the customs area, a fee of one thousand rupees will be charged per consignment.
(3) After inspecting the goods to be exported according to sub-rule (2), the inspecting staff shall place such goods in the means of transport on their own, close and seal them, and at the time of export of the goods, the customs office shall allow them to be exported only after confirming whether the said seal is correct or not. .
(4) According to sub-rule (1), if the employee assigned to go outside the customs area for inspection needs to use a means of transport for that purpose, the concerned exporter or importer shall arrange for such a means.
